FROM PERU INCREASES SALES OF QUINOA PRODUCTS BY 65% WITH NEW SITE DESIGN BY DGT ALLIANCE
Organic FROM PERU INC recently released it’s latest sales figures showing an increase of of 65% on its international sales of Peruvian Quinoa. DGT Alliance conceptualized, designed and deployed the new FROM PERU web site.
Quinoa commonly referred to as a grain is technically a seed not a grain. It is the seed of an herbaceous plant related to leafy green vegetables like spinach and Swiss chard. Among the Incas it is considered a sacred food, known as the mother seed, recognized for its value in increasing the stamina of their soldiers.
For thousands of years quinoa has been a staple in the diet of South American. Quinoa is becoming more and more popular as people recognize it for both its nutritional value and great taste.
Quinoa is rich in protein content. In fact, it is a complete protein as it contains all the essential amino acids, especially lysine, which is required by the body to grow and repair tissues. It has high content of manganese in it, which acts as antioxidant in the body and helps it get rid of dangerous cancer cells and other diseases. The seed proved to be a good source of magnesium, which provides relief from migraine headaches, relaxes blood vessels, and decreases the risk of hypertension.
